Key Stage 1

 Key Stage One includes Reception, Year One and Year Two classes. Children begin this stage at the age of 5 years and are ready for the next stage by the age of 7 years. Our core subjects are English where children learn to read and write with the progression through the Year groups. Mathematics is another core subject where children learn to count, write numbers and solve problems. Science is the third core subject where children can investigate, experiment and evaluate. Other subjects (foundation) include Art, DT, Social Studies and Physical Education which enables each child to be actively involved in all areas of the curriculum.
