Although I have only been at DMBS since August, I feel as though I have been here for a long time.  Prior to joining this community I was Vice-Principal at Doha college for sixteen happy and productive years.  My first appointment in Doha twelve years before that was at the Doha English Speaking School.  You will now realize that I have lived and worked in Doha for a very long time – in fact I shortly celebrate thirty years here!

I am proud to be the leader of DMBS particularly at this exciting period of development and growth and I look forward to the challenges of relocating to our new premises.  I will endeavour to ensure that ‘every child matters’ and that each child has the skills and confidence to learn and be able to apply that learning to life situations.

With over 20 years of teaching experience Doha is the third country I have taught in. I started teaching with the South Australian Education Department. I enjoyed 14 years of secondary teaching at a variety of schools in Adelaide when I decided new challenges awaited me overseas. I moved to Brunei 10 years ago and worked in two International Schools in a variety of posts including Head of Whole School PE and Drama as well as CAS Coordinator for the IB Diploma programme.

For me Doha Montessori and British School has been a most rewarding move. As Assistant Principal and Key Stage 3 Leader I have been able to work with the Principal Sandra Williams to develop exciting policies and programmes for the developing secondary area of the school.
I look forward to the continued expansion of the secondary school in our new school location. The facilities being developed are excellent for all curriculum areas giving the students opportunities to excel in their chosen field.
