Key Stage1 Leader

My teaching career began in South Africa. After being an assistant and teacher at the same school for 7 years, I decided it was time to move on and explore the Middle East. I found myself in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. A learning curve for me, as not only was it a different curriculum to teach, it was a big cultural change and a new way of life. It was a great place to begin my overseas travel.

After completing two years in Jeddah in the British system with experience in Year 1 and reception classes, I felt I would like to continue my stay in another part of the Middle East and accepted a position in Doha.

Another big change and challenge awaited me. Having started at Doha Montessori as a Year 1 teacher, I was given the responsibility of being Key Stage 1 Leader. Accepting this leadership position has been a great opportunity to be more involved in the ongoing events and happenings in the school life. Doha Montessori is a growing school with many positive changes and I look forward to moving into the new school in the near future and being a part of the new image of Doha Montessori.
